I'm currently CEO at Purlos and open to initial conversations about my next chapter: Growth Lead / Sales & Marketing Director roles at fast-growing tech companies (£10m–£50m). I've done every seat in the commercial engine — from carrying near-£1m enterprise quotas to owning the whole revenue plan as founder.
Carried near-£1m enterprise quotas into GSK, Oracle, Barclays and the Bank of England.
Named #1 salesperson across a FTSE 250 group of ~5,000 people.
Built a SaaS from zero to £1.2m ARR, 30% EBITDA — 1,000%+ growth in the peak year — and sold a majority stake in August 2025.
Ran pipeline linked directly to the board forecast and budget: the sales number and the board number were the same number.
Pipeline run the way a CEO needs it: linked to the forecast and budget, not a CRM vanity report. Clear targets, right incentives, honest commit calls.
I hire for attitude, persistence and goal-orientation over polish, give people crystal-clear targets with the right incentives, and manage to them relentlessly.
Get the 1–2 channels that work working brilliantly, then test everything else monthly and quarterly — events, digital, community, SDR, outbound, email. Measured on leads, conversion and marketing-sourced revenue.
Six-figure deals into FTSE 100s, banks and the public sector. Trained across Challenger, Sandler, SPIN, Miller Heiman and value-based selling.
I've sat on the board, chaired it, and built the packs. Growth plans I present are ones I've costed, forecast and defended to investors.
Daily hands-on user of Claude, Claude Cowork and Claude Code; tried and tested dozens of AI tools; regular AI presentations to leadership teams. I run AI opportunity analyses across a business — interviewing each function and mining recorded calls and transcripts — to find where AI delivers measurable ROI. Using AI with people is the core skill: deploying it strategically, not just to automate documents, while building the judgement in teams that makes it stick.
EdTech SaaS, zero to £1.2m ARR, 30% EBITDA, sub-10% churn. Peak year grew 1,000%+; final year £1m to £1.2m (+20%). Managed the sales team for years, raised institutional funding, chaired the board, ran the exit to SPA and completion. Majority stake sold August 2025.
Carried a £960k annual target selling consultancy-led digital and tech training into GSK, Oracle, Barclays and the Bank of England. On pace at ~£480k closed at the halfway stage of the target year, when I left to found Purlos.
£500k–£600k annual targets across HSJ Intelligence and Nursing Times; hit target every year except one. In 2015, #1 salesperson across the entire FTSE 250 group of ~5,000 people (Cannes Lions, WGSN and more), at ~120% of target, well clear of the #2.
If the commercial function needs someone who has both carried the bag and run the P&L, that's the gap I fill.
I founded and scaled Purlos, a UK EdTech SaaS, from zero to exit, selling a majority stake in August 2025. I raised funding, sat on the board and chaired its meetings, ran the financials with our finance team, and built and led the sales and marketing function throughout. Before that I was the number one salesperson across a FTSE 250 group. Educated at Oxford Saïd Business School and Northumbria University's Newcastle Business School, recognised as being in the top 1% of business schools worldwide. Based in Berkshire, working across the UK.
